GOOG & G-Phone: there remains a lot of speculation re GOOG launching their own hardware G-Phone (as opposed to just selling an open-source mobile OS). Hollywood Reported is getting a lot of blogs talking this weekend w/an article attributed to GOOG mgmt at the Sun Valley Media conf this past week, although Silicon Alley Insider says the article is inaccurate and no such phone is planned. TechCrunch on the other hand thinks GOOG might have something up its sleeve and could be working w/Ammunition Design Group on a device.
